What is the route of the Cursa Benéfica Maria de Villota

Map showing the race route

The Maria de Villota Charity Run follows a route unlike any other race in Barcelona: it takes place entirely inside the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the track normally used by Formula 1 cars.

The 5K distance covers one full lap of the circuit plus an extra section, running over the same asphalt as the starting grid and the track's best-known corners, with the grandstands and pit lane in view.

It's a flat, fast, traffic-free course that turns a weekend evening into an unusual experience — running where engines normally roar, at a charity event tied to the legacy of Maria de Villota.
