What is the route of the I Maratón Imperial de Toledo
The first Toledo Imperial Marathon debuts a route starting at Mirador del Valle, one of the city's best viewpoints. From there, the course passes the Santa Bárbara roundabout, the Juanelo Turriano institute in Santa María de Benquerencia, the Polígono's indoor pool, the AVE high-speed rail station and the Defence Delegation building.
The circuit continues along Avenida Adolfo Suárez and the Peraleda bridge, passing the Sephardic Museum before heading into the closing stretch. The finish line is at Paseo Imperial de la Vega.
Certified by the Castilla-La Mancha Athletics Federation, the route is mostly flat, with a spectacular final section through the Historic Centre of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The race offers individual, pairs and four-person team formats.

- Km 0-10 — Salida en el Mirador del Valle

Where to stay for the I Maratón Imperial de Toledo
Toledo's Historic Centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the best area to stay: within walking distance of most attractions, restaurants and the marathon route itself.
Hotels in the old town range from simple options to charming hotels in historic buildings, many just minutes from the Alcázar and the Cathedral.
Toledo is a small, very walkable city, so any accommodation in or near the historic centre leaves you well placed for the race.
Getting there from the airport for the I Maratón Imperial de Toledo
Toledo has no airport of its own, so the most practical option is to fly into Madrid-Barajas Airport and continue by AVE high-speed train to Toledo, a journey of just 33-34 minutes with departures roughly every hour from Atocha.
Toledo's Mudéjar-style train station is well connected to the historic centre by bus or taxi (about 10-15 minutes).
If you're driving, Toledo is less than an hour from Madrid by motorway.
