What is the route of the Maratón Dany Sport Corralejo Grandes Playas
The Dany Sport Corralejo Grandes Playas Marathon route starts on Corralejo's main avenue, in Fuerteventura, and is run entirely on asphalt despite tracing the edge of the Grandes Playas beaches and the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park.
The 42K distance repeats the same circuit twice that the half marathon runs once, offering panoramic coastal and dune views throughout the course.
It's a race built around one of the Canary Islands' most distinctive coastal landscapes, with a flat profile that makes it accessible both for runners chasing a time and for those who'd rather simply take in the scenery.

Where to stay for the Maratón Dany Sport Corralejo Grandes Playas
Central Corralejo and its old town are the best area to stay: right by the start and finish, with the highest concentration of restaurants and shops, and a beach just steps away.
Staying near other beaches in the area takes you away from the local atmosphere you get in the centre, so if you want to be close to the route and the town's everyday life, the centre is the most practical choice.
December, when the marathon takes place, is one of the cheapest months to stay in Corralejo, with prices rising in high season (February).
Getting there from the airport for the Maratón Dany Sport Corralejo Grandes Playas
Fuerteventura Airport is about 36 km south of Corralejo, with no direct bus: you'll need to combine a bus to Puerto del Rosario with another to Corralejo, a trip of roughly 1h30.
A taxi costs between €48 and €55 depending on time of day and night/holiday rates, with a direct ride of about 35-40 minutes.
A private door-to-door transfer is the most convenient option if you'd rather avoid bus connections, at a fixed price similar to the taxi.
